GOI FELLOWSHIP

Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) started the Government of India Fellowship Programme in 1986 with the objective to encourage advanced studies in Criminology and Police Sciences at the national level and to foster research in these disciplines. Over the years, the scope of the Programme has been enlarged to include many new and contemporary disciplines in which research can be conducted on topics that are related to police and correctional services. The programme has been revised and modified to keep it abreast of the changing scenario. In the new format, the GoI Fellowships will now be awarded through the Central Universities and other universities/ institutes of excellence. The current number of GoI fellowships is 10.

Duration: 5 Years

  • Senior Research Fellow (Remaining period)

An advertisement is published in national dailies for soliciting applications for award of GoI Fellowship. The eligible students can apply through their respective Universities/Research Institutes.
